Hong Kong Delivery Workers Strike to Protest Platform Exploitation
zuì jìn 最近 ， xiāng gǎng 香港 hěn 很 duō 多 wài mài yuán 外卖员 zài 在 Keeta píng tái 平台 shàng 上 bà gōng 罢工 。
Recently, many delivery workers in Hong Kong went on strike on the Keeta platform.
tā men 他们 jué de 觉得 píng tái 平台 yòng 用 diàn nǎo 电脑 suàn fǎ 算法 lái 来 ān pái 安排 gōng zuò 工作 ， ràng 让 tā men 他们 zhuàn 赚 de 的 qián 钱 biàn 变 shǎo 少 le 了 。
They feel that the platform uses computer algorithms to assign work, which reduces the money they earn.
yǐ qián 以前 sòng 送 yī 一 dān 单 kě yǐ 可以 ná dào 拿到 gèng 更 duō 多 de 的 qián 钱 ， xiàn zài 现在 měi 每 dān 单 de 的 qián 钱 biàn 变 shǎo 少 le 了 ， ér qiě 而且 yǒu shí hòu 有时候 yào 要 tóng shí 同时 sòng 送 hǎo jǐ 好几 dān 单 ， gōng zuò 工作 biàn dé 变得 gèng 更 xīn kǔ 辛苦 。
Before, they could earn more money for each delivery, but now the pay per order has decreased, and sometimes they have to deliver several orders at once, making the work harder.
yǒu 有 de 的 wài mài yuán 外卖员 shuō 说 ， rú guǒ 如果 bù 不 cān jiā 参加 píng tái 平台 de 的 xīn 新 jì huà 计划 ， jiù 就 hěn 很 nán 难 qiǎng 抢 dào 到 dìng dān 订单 。
Some delivery workers say that if they don't join the platform's new plan, it is hard to get orders.
hái yǒu 还有 rén 人 yīn wèi 因为 yào 要 yì zhí 一直 kàn 看 shǒu jī 手机 qiǎng dān 抢单 ， zài 在 sòng cān 送餐 shí 时 fā shēng 发生 le 了 jiāo tōng 交通 shì gù 事故 。
Some people have had traffic accidents while delivering because they have to keep looking at their phones to grab orders.
wài mài yuán 外卖员 men 们 xī wàng 希望 píng tái 平台 néng 能 tí gāo 提高 gōng zī 工资 ， qǔ xiāo 取消 ràng 让 tā men 他们 qiǎng 抢 dān 单 de 的 gōng néng 功能 ， hái 还 yào 要 hé 和 tā men 他们 qiān 签 zhèng shì 正式 de 的 gōng zuò 工作 hé tóng 合同 。
The delivery workers hope the platform will raise wages, remove the order-grabbing feature, and sign formal work contracts with them.
xiāng gǎng 香港 zhèng fǔ 政府 shuō 说 huì 会 xiǎng 想 bàn fǎ 办法 bǎo hù 保护 wài mài yuán 外卖员 de 的 quán yì 权益 。
The Hong Kong government says it will find ways to protect the rights of delivery workers.
xiàn zài 现在 ， Keeta yě 也 kāi shǐ 开始 zài 在 qí tā 其他 guó jiā 国家 zuò 做 wài mài 外卖 fú wù 服务 ， bù 不 zhī dào 知道 nà lǐ 那里 de 的 wài mài yuán 外卖员 huì bú huì 会不会 yù dào 遇到 tóng yàng 同样 de 的 wèn tí 问题 。
Now, Keeta has also started delivery services in other countries, and it is unknown if delivery workers there will face the same problems.
