Recently, a committee in the U.S. Congress said on social media that the Chinese Communist Party is using the September 3rd military parade to rewrite history.
China commemorates the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and Japan's surrender on this day.
The committee said that through the parade and propaganda, China claims all credit for fighting Japan belongs to the Chinese Communist Party, but in fact, the Kuomintang also made significant contributions at that time.
The committee also said China does this to make people believe China has sovereignty over Taiwan and the South China Sea.
Former U.S. President Trump also said he hopes China remembers that the U.S. helped China during World War II, and many Americans gave their lives for China.
The committee stated they will continue to inform people about China's rewriting of history and hope the world will not believe these claims.
