License Plate Controversy Causes Hong Kong Man to Leave Hometown
xiāng gǎng 香港 nán zi 男子 zhào 赵 xiān shēng 先生 yīn wèi 因为 tā 他 de 的 bǎo shí jié 保时捷 chē pái 车牌 “ US8964 ” shòu dào 受到 hěn 很 duō 多 má fán 麻烦 。
Mr. Zhao, a man from Hong Kong, has faced many troubles because of his Porsche license plate "US8964."

This number is related to the Tiananmen Square incident on June 4, 1989, in China, which is a very sensitive topic.

Mr. Zhao said that at first, he just thought the number was important and wanted to commemorate that day in his own way, not expecting it to cause so many problems.

Every year on June 4, he would drive around Victoria Park, but the police detained his car multiple times for various reasons.

Many people in Hong Kong felt very sad after seeing this news and found it strange that the government is so afraid of just a license plate.
