The Story of the Wolf and the Lamb: The Excuses of the Strong
yǒu 有 yí gè 一个 yī suǒ yù yán 伊索寓言 ， jiǎng 讲 de 的 shì 是 láng 狼 hé 和 xiǎo 小 yáng 羊 。
There is an Aesop's fable about a wolf and a lamb.
xiǎo 小 yáng 羊 zài 在 hé biān 河边 hē 喝 shuǐ 水 ， láng 狼 lái 来 le 了 ， shuō 说 xiǎo 小 yáng 羊 bǎ 把 shuǐ 水 nòng zāng 弄脏 le 了 。
The lamb was drinking water by the river when the wolf came and said the lamb had dirtied the water.
xiǎo 小 yáng 羊 shuō 说 shuǐ 水 shì 是 cóng 从 láng 狼 nà biān 那边 liú 流 guò lái 过来 de 的 ， bù 不 kě néng 可能 nòng zāng 弄脏 。
The lamb said the water flowed from the wolf's side, so it couldn't be dirty.
láng 狼 bù 不 tīng 听 ， hái shì 还是 yào 要 chī diào 吃掉 xiǎo 小 yáng 羊 。
The wolf didn't listen and still wanted to eat the lamb.
zhè gè 这个 gù shì 故事 gào sù 告诉 wǒ men 我们 ， yǒu shí hòu 有时候 qiáng 强 zhě 者 huì 会 zhǎo 找 gè zhǒng 各种 lǐ yóu 理由 qī fù 欺负 ruò 弱 zhě 者 。
This story tells us that sometimes the strong find all kinds of reasons to bully the weak.
xiàn zài 现在 yǒu xiē 有些 guó jiā 国家 yě 也 xiàng 像 láng 狼 yī yàng 一样 ， yòng 用 bù tóng 不同 de 的 jiè kǒu 借口 gōng jī 攻击 bié de 别的 guó jiā 国家 ， bǐ rú shuō 比如说 duì fāng 对方 yǒu 有 wēi xiǎn 危险 、 zhī chí 支持 huài rén 坏人 huò zhě 或者 yǐng xiǎng 影响 dì qū 地区 ān quán 安全 。
Nowadays, some countries are like wolves, attacking other countries with different excuses, such as saying the other side is dangerous, supports bad people, or threatens regional security.
qí shí 其实 ， zhè xiē 这些 lǐ yóu 理由 cháng cháng 常常 bú shì 不是 zhēn de 真的 ， zhǐ shì 只是 wèi le 为了 ràng 让 zì jǐ 自己 kàn qǐ lái 看起来 yǒu dào lǐ 有道理 。
In fact, these reasons are often not true; they are just to make themselves look reasonable.
yǐ sè liè 以色列 hé 和 yī lǎng 伊朗 de 的 chōng tū 冲突 jiù shì 就是 zhè yàng 这样 ， tā men 他们 hù xiāng 互相 gōng jī 攻击 ， hěn 很 duō 多 wú gū 无辜 de 的 rén 人 shòu shāng 受伤 。
The conflict between Israel and Iran is like this; they attack each other, and many innocent people get hurt.
zhàn zhēng 战争 ràng 让 hěn 很 duō 多 rén 人 shī qù 失去 jiā yuán 家园 ， yě 也 ràng 让 hěn 很 duō 多 guó jiā 国家 biàn dé 变得 bù 不 ān quán 安全 。
War causes many people to lose their homes and makes many countries unsafe.
wǒ men 我们 yīng gāi 应该 míng bái 明白 ， zhàn zhēng 战争 méi yǒu 没有 yíng jiā 赢家 ， zhǐ yǒu 只有 gèng 更 duō 多 de 的 tòng kǔ 痛苦 。
We should understand that war has no winners, only more suffering.
wǒ men 我们 yào 要 xué huì 学会 fēn biàn 分辨 zhēn jiǎ 真假 ， bú yào 不要 bèi 被 jiǎ 假 lǐ yóu 理由 piàn 骗 le 了 ， zhè yàng 这样 shì jiè 世界 cái 才 huì 会 gèng 更 hé píng 和平 。
We need to learn to tell truth from lies and not be fooled by false excuses, so the world can be more peaceful.
