How Does China Reduce Food Waste?
zhōng guó 中国 yǒu 有 yī jù huà 一句话 jiào 叫 “ mín yǐ shí wéi tiān 民以食为天 ” ， yì sī 意思 shì 是 rén men 人们 hěn 很 zhòng shì 重视 chī fàn 吃饭 。
There is a saying in China: 'Food is the god of the people,' which means people value eating very much.
zài 在 zhōng guó 中国 ， hěn 很 duō 多 rén 人 xǐ huān 喜欢 diǎn 点 hěn 很 duō 多 cài 菜 ， tè bié 特别 shì 是 zài 在 qǐng kè 请客 de 的 shí hòu 时候 ， zhè yàng 这样 huì 会 yǒu 有 hěn 很 duō 多 shèng cài 剩菜 。
In China, many people like to order a lot of dishes, especially when hosting guests, which leads to a lot of leftover food.

To reduce waste, some people started the 'Clean Plate Campaign,' encouraging everyone to finish the food on their plates and not waste it.

However, besides waste during meals, food is also wasted during production, transportation, and storage.
zhōng guó 中国 zhèng fǔ 政府 zhèng zài 正在 nǔ lì 努力 jiǎn shǎo 减少 zhè xiē 这些 huán jié 环节 de 的 làng fèi 浪费 ， xī wàng 希望 dà jiā 大家 dōu 都 néng 能 zhēn xī 珍惜 shí wù 食物 。
The Chinese government is working hard to reduce waste in these areas and hopes everyone can cherish food.
