Missing My Hometown After Leaving
xiǎo shí hòu 小时候 ， wǒ 我 cóng méi 从没 xiǎng 想 guò 过 yào 要 qù 去 hěn 很 yuǎn 远 de 的 dà chéng shì 大城市 。
When I was a child, I never thought about going to a big city far away.
wǒ 我 xǐ huān 喜欢 hé 和 jiā rén 家人 péng yǒu 朋友 yì qǐ 一起 wán 玩 ， chàng gē 唱歌 ， tiào wǔ 跳舞 。
I liked playing, singing, and dancing with my family and friends.
wǒ men 我们 huì 会 zài 在 jié rì 节日 yì qǐ 一起 fàng 放 yān huā 烟花 ， dà jiā 大家 dōu 都 hěn 很 kāi xīn 开心 。
We would set off fireworks together during festivals, and everyone was very happy.
hòu lái 后来 ， yǒu xiē 有些 qīn rén 亲人 qù 去 le 了 bié de 别的 guó jiā 国家 shēng huó 生活 ， wǒ 我 bù 不 míng bái 明白 tā men 他们 wèi shén me 为什么 yào 要 lí kāi 离开 。
Later, some relatives moved to live in other countries, and I didn't understand why they had to leave.
zhǎng dà 长大 hòu 后 ， wǒ 我 míng bái 明白 le 了 ， hěn 很 duō 多 rén 人 yīn wèi 因为 jiā xiāng 家乡 yǒu 有 kùn nán 困难 ， bǐ rú 比如 gōng zuò 工作 shǎo 少 、 shēng huó 生活 bù 不 ān quán 安全 ， zhǐ néng 只能 qù 去 bié de 别的 dì fāng 地方 zhǎo 找 gèng 更 hǎo 好 de 的 shēng huó 生活 。
When I grew up, I understood that many people leave because their hometown has difficulties, like few jobs and unsafe living conditions, so they have to find a better life elsewhere.
lí kāi 离开 jiā xiāng 家乡 hòu 后 ， wǒ 我 hěn 很 xiǎng niàn 想念 jiā rén 家人 、 péng yǒu 朋友 ， hái yǒu 还有 xiǎo shí hòu 小时候 de 的 kuài lè 快乐 shí guāng 时光 。
After leaving my hometown, I missed my family, friends, and the happy times from childhood.
wǒ 我 yě 也 huì 会 xiǎng niàn 想念 nǎi nǎi 奶奶 zuò 做 de 的 fàn 饭 hé 和 jiā lǐ 家里 de 的 xiǎo gǒu 小狗 。
I also missed the meals my grandmother cooked and the little dog at home.
suī rán 虽然 xiàn zài 现在 wǒ men 我们 kě yǐ 可以 yòng 用 shǒu jī 手机 lián xì 联系 ， dàn 但 hái shì 还是 jué de 觉得 hěn 很 yuǎn 远 。
Although now we can keep in touch by phone, it still feels very far away.
yǒu shí hòu 有时候 ， wǒ 我 huì 会 jué de 觉得 nán guò 难过 ， yīn wèi 因为 bù néng 不能 hé 和 jiā rén 家人 yì qǐ 一起 qìng zhù 庆祝 zhòng yào 重要 de 的 rì zi 日子 。
Sometimes, I feel sad because I can't celebrate important days with my family.
suī rán 虽然 shēng huó 生活 zài 在 xīn 新 dì fāng 地方 yǒu 有 hěn 很 duō 多 tiǎo zhàn 挑战 ， bǐ rú 比如 zhǎo 找 gōng zuò 工作 、 xué 学 xīn 新 yǔ yán 语言 ， dàn 但 wǒ 我 zhī dào 知道 ， xuǎn zé 选择 qù 去 xīn 新 de 的 dì fāng 地方 shēng huó 生活 ， shì 是 wèi le 为了 gèng 更 hǎo 好 de 的 wèi lái 未来 。
Although living in a new place has many challenges, like finding a job and learning a new language, I know that choosing to live somewhere new is for a better future.
duì 对 suǒ yǒu 所有 lí kāi 离开 jiā xiāng 家乡 de 的 rén 人 ， wǒ 我 xiǎng 想 shuō 说 ： wǒ men 我们 yào 要 yǒng gǎn 勇敢 shēng huó 生活 ， yě 也 yào 要 xiāng xìn 相信 wèi lái 未来 huì 会 gèng 更 hǎo 好 。
To everyone who has left their hometown, I want to say: We must live bravely and believe that the future will be better.
