French President Macron said that if China does not stop North Korea from helping Russia fight Ukraine, NATO might get more involved in Asian affairs.
Macron said at a security conference in Singapore that North Korea's actions in Ukraine are a big problem.
He believes that if China does not want NATO to enter Asia, it should prevent North Korea from participating in the European war.
France has always thought that NATO should not have too much influence in Asia, but now Macron says France might reconsider this idea.
Recently, North Korea and Russia have had military cooperation, with North Korea helping Russia fight in Ukraine.
Macron also said that there is now a danger of nuclear weapons spreading in the world, and the post-World War II world order might be affected.
He hopes Asian countries can make their own decisions and not just listen to the US or China.
Macron also visited Vietnam and Indonesia this time and signed some cooperation agreements with them.
