On the International Day Against Homophobia, a civil organization in Trinidad and Tobago released a report.
The report states that the LGBTQ+ community in this country still often faces discrimination and unfair treatment.
Many people experience domestic violence, harassment, problems at work, as well as housing and financial difficulties.
The report found that many people are unwilling to seek help because they do not trust legal protection.
The organization hopes the government will amend laws to provide more protection for the LGBTQ+ community, and also hopes society can offer more support and education so that everyone can live equally.
