The World Economic Forum released the 2025 Global Gender Gap Report.

The report shows that seven African countries rank among the bottom ten in gender equality worldwide.

Pakistan ranks last, with Sudan, Chad, Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, Algeria, and Mali also in the bottom ranks.

The report measures gender equality through four aspects: economy, education, health, and politics.

Namibia performs the best in Africa, with a high gender equality score and ranks eighth globally.

In Rwanda's parliament, women hold more than half of the seats, making it the only African country to achieve gender parity in parliament.

Although some countries have made significant progress, such as Benin and Zambia, overall, no country in the world has achieved complete gender equality yet.

At the current pace, it will take 123 years for the world to achieve gender equality.
