Netflix's New Series "I Love the Philippines" Episode 1 Talks About Filipino Food
Netflix zuì jìn 最近 tuī chū 推出 le 了 yī 一 bù 部 jiào 叫 《 wǒ 我 ài 爱 fēi lǜ bīn 菲律宾 》 de 的 xīn 新 jù 剧 。
Netflix recently launched a new series called "I Love the Philippines."
dì yī 第一 jí 集 jiè shào 介绍 le 了 fēi lǜ bīn rén 菲律宾人 měi tiān 每天 chī 吃 de 的 shí wù 食物 ， bǐ rú 比如 mǐ fàn 米饭 、 tāng 汤 、 yú 鱼 hé 和 shū cài 蔬菜 。
The first episode introduces the food Filipinos eat every day, such as rice, soup, fish, and vegetables.
fēi lǜ bīn rén 菲律宾人 hěn 很 xǐ huān 喜欢 chī 吃 mǐ fàn 米饭 ， zǎo cān 早餐 、 wǔ cān 午餐 hé 和 wǎn cān 晚餐 dōu 都 shào bù liǎo 少不了 mǐ fàn 米饭 。
Filipinos really like eating rice; breakfast, lunch, and dinner all include rice.
yǒu xiē 有些 fēi lǜ bīn rén 菲律宾人 zhù 住 zài 在 guó wài 国外 ， tā men 他们 huì 会 yòng 用 dāng dì 当地 de 的 shí cái 食材 zuò 做 jiā xiāng 家乡 de 的 cài 菜 ， bǐ rú 比如 yòng 用 sān wén yú 三文鱼 tóu 头 zuò 做 suān 酸 tāng 汤 。
Some Filipinos live abroad and use local ingredients to cook dishes from their hometown, like making sour soup with salmon heads.

The show also says that some Filipino kids who grew up in the US feel a bit shy bringing hometown food to school, but more and more young people are starting to like Filipino food.
