Nepalese Youth Oppose Corruption and Social Media Ban
2025 nián 年 9 yuè 月 ， ní pō ěr 尼泊尔 hěn 很 duō 多 nián qīng rén 年轻人 zǒu 走 shàng 上 jiē tóu 街头 ， fǎn duì 反对 fǔ bài 腐败 hé 和 shè jiāo méi tǐ 社交媒体 jìn lìng 禁令 。
In September 2025, many young people in Nepal took to the streets to protest against corruption and the social media ban.
zhèng fǔ 政府 yīn wèi 因为 yī xiē 一些 shè jiāo méi tǐ 社交媒体 gōng sī 公司 méi yǒu 没有 àn zhào 按照 xīn 新 guī dìng 规定 zhù cè 注册 ， jiù 就 jìn zhǐ 禁止 le 了 hěn 很 duō 多 cháng yòng 常用 de 的 shè jiāo 社交 píng tái 平台 ， bǐ rú 比如 Facebook 、 Instagram hé 和 YouTube 。
The government banned many popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube because some social media companies did not register according to the new regulations.

Many young people and small business owners felt that such a ban made it very difficult for them to communicate and do business.

People used the term "Nepo Kid" to criticize wealthy and powerful families living well while ordinary people have a hard life.
