Doomsayers and Possibility Seekers
wǒ men 我们 shēng huó 生活 zài 在 yí gè 一个 fù miàn 负面 xiāo xī 消息 hěn duō 很多 de 的 shí dài 时代 。
We live in an era filled with negative news.
xīn wén 新闻 hé 和 shè jiāo méi tǐ 社交媒体 cháng 常 jiǎng 讲 shì gù 事故 、 zhàn zhēng 战争 hé 和 wēi xiǎn 危险 ， què 却 hěn shǎo 很少 tǎo lùn 讨论 hé píng 和平 yǔ 与 jiě jué bàn fǎ 解决办法 。
News and social media often talk about accidents, wars, and dangers, but rarely discuss peace and solutions.
yán jiū rén yuán 研究人员 、 méi tǐ 媒体 、 zhèng zhì rén wù 政治人物 hé 和 pǔ tōng rén 普通人 dōu 都 yīng gāi 应该 tíng xià lái 停下来 xiǎng 想 yī xiǎng 一想 ： wǒ men 我们 zuò 做 dé 得 tài duō 太多 de 的 shì 是 shén me 什么 ， zuò 做 dé 得 tài shǎo 太少 de 的 yòu 又 shì 是 shén me 什么 ？
Researchers, the media, politicians, and ordinary people should all stop and think: What are we doing too much of, and what are we doing too little of?
“ mò rì 末日 yù yán zhě 预言者 ” zhǐ 只 kàn dào 看到 wēi jī 危机 ， cháng 常 shuō 说 wèi lái 未来 méi yǒu 没有 xī wàng 希望 。
“Doomsayers” see only crises and often say that the future has no hope.
zhè yàng 这样 de 的 huà 话 huì 会 ràng 让 rén 人 hài pà 害怕 ， yě 也 bù yuàn 不愿 cǎi qǔ 采取 xíng dòng 行动 。
Such words make people afraid and less willing to take action.
“ kě néng xìng 可能性 tàn suǒ zhě 探索者 ” yě 也 zhī dào 知道 wèn tí 问题 hěn 很 yán zhòng 严重 ， dàn 但 tā men 他们 huì 会 jì xù 继续 xún zhǎo 寻找 xīn 新 de 的 lù 路 。
“Possibility seekers” also know that the problems are serious, but they continue to look for new paths.
tā men 他们 xiāng xìn 相信 ， wǔ qì 武器 bù néng 不能 zhēn zhèng 真正 dài lái 带来 hé píng 和平 。
They believe that weapons cannot truly bring peace.
yào 要 jié shù 结束 chōng tū 冲突 ， rén men 人们 xū yào 需要 liǎo jiě 了解 wèn tí 问题 de 的 yuán yīn 原因 ， xué xí 学习 duì huà 对话 ， guān xīn 关心 bié rén 别人 ， bìng 并 yì qǐ 一起 xiǎng xiàng 想象 gèng hǎo 更好 de 的 wèi lái 未来 。
To end conflicts, people need to understand their causes, learn dialogue, care about others, and imagine a better future together.
jiù xiàng 就像 yī shēng 医生 bù néng 不能 zhǐ 只 shuō 说 bìng rén 病人 yǒu 有 bìng 病 ， hái yào 还要 tí chū 提出 zhì liáo 治疗 fāng fǎ 方法 yī yàng 一样 ， wǒ men 我们 bù 不 yīng 应 zhǐ 只 pī píng 批评 shì jiè 世界 ， yě 也 yào 要 tí gōng 提供 xī wàng 希望 hé 和 fāng xiàng 方向 。
Just as doctors cannot merely say that a patient is ill but must also suggest treatment, we should not only criticize the world; we should also offer hope and direction.
tōng guò 通过 jiào yù 教育 、 xīn 新 xiǎng fǎ 想法 、 hé zuò 合作 yǔ 与 hé píng 和平 zǔ zhī 组织 de 的 bāng zhù 帮助 ， rén lèi 人类 kě yǐ 可以 jiǎn shǎo 减少 wǔ qì 武器 ， bǎ 把 gèng duō 更多 zī yuán 资源 yòng lái 用来 gǎi shàn 改善 shēng huó 生活 。
With the help of education, new ideas, cooperation, and peace organizations, humanity can reduce weapons and use more resources to improve people’s lives.
