Taiwan has purchased 66 new F-16V Block 70 fighter jets from the United States.
Now, the first aircraft has been assembled.
Taiwan will send an official at the deputy minister level of the Ministry of National Defense to the United States to attend the delivery ceremony of the new aircraft.
Officials from the United States will also attend this event.
The Taiwanese Minister of National Defense said he will not attend the ceremony, but the deputy minister and the Air Force deputy chief of staff will represent Taiwan.
Previously, the delivery of the aircraft was delayed for some reasons, but now the United States has promised to speed up the delivery.
It is expected that all 66 F-16V fighter jets will be delivered to Taiwan by the end of 2026.
These new fighter jets have advanced equipment and weapons, which can help Taiwan better protect its air security.
The Chinese government opposes the United States selling weapons to Taiwan, but the United States believes these aircraft can help Taiwan strengthen its defense capabilities.
