The Story of the Wolf and the Lamb: The Excuses of the Strong
yǒu有yí gè一个yī suǒ yù yán伊索寓言 ，jiǎng讲de的shì是láng狼hé和xiǎo小yáng羊 。
There is an Aesop's fable about a wolf and a lamb.
xiǎo小yáng羊zài在hé biān河边hē喝shuǐ水 ，láng狼lái来le了 ，shuō说xiǎo小yáng羊bǎ把shuǐ水nòng zāng弄脏le了 。
The lamb was drinking water by the river when the wolf came and said the lamb had dirtied the water.
xiǎo小yáng羊shuō说shuǐ水shì是cóng从láng狼nà biān那边liú流guò lái过来de的 ，bù不kě néng可能nòng zāng弄脏 。
The lamb said the water flowed from the wolf's side, so it couldn't be dirty.
láng狼bù不tīng听 ，hái shì还是yào要chī diào吃掉xiǎo小yáng羊 。
The wolf didn't listen and still wanted to eat the lamb.
zhè gè这个gù shì故事gào sù告诉wǒ men我们 ，yǒu shí hòu有时候qiáng强zhě者huì会zhǎo找gè zhǒng各种lǐ yóu理由qī fù欺负ruò弱zhě者 。
This story tells us that sometimes the strong find all kinds of reasons to bully the weak.
xiàn zài现在yǒu xiē有些guó jiā国家yě也xiàng像láng狼yī yàng一样 ，yòng用bù tóng不同de的jiè kǒu借口gōng jī攻击bié de别的guó jiā国家 ，bǐ rú shuō比如说duì fāng对方yǒu有wēi xiǎn危险 、zhī chí支持huài rén坏人huò zhě或者yǐng xiǎng影响dì qū地区ān quán安全 。
Nowadays, some countries are like wolves, attacking other countries with different excuses, such as saying the other side is dangerous, supports bad people, or threatens regional security.
qí shí其实 ，zhè xiē这些lǐ yóu理由cháng cháng常常bú shì不是zhēn de真的 ，zhǐ shì只是wèi le为了ràng让zì jǐ自己kàn qǐ lái看起来yǒu dào lǐ有道理 。
In fact, these reasons are often not true; they are just to make themselves look reasonable.
yǐ sè liè以色列hé和yī lǎng伊朗de的chōng tū冲突jiù shì就是zhè yàng这样 ，tā men他们hù xiāng互相gōng jī攻击 ，hěn很duō多wú gū无辜de的rén人shòu shāng受伤 。
The conflict between Israel and Iran is like this; they attack each other, and many innocent people get hurt.
zhàn zhēng战争ràng让hěn很duō多rén人shī qù失去jiā yuán家园 ，yě也ràng让hěn很duō多guó jiā国家biàn dé变得bù不ān quán安全 。
War causes many people to lose their homes and makes many countries unsafe.
wǒ men我们yīng gāi应该míng bái明白 ，zhàn zhēng战争méi yǒu没有yíng jiā赢家 ，zhǐ yǒu只有gèng更duō多de的tòng kǔ痛苦 。
We should understand that war has no winners, only more suffering.
wǒ men我们yào要xué huì学会fēn biàn分辨zhēn jiǎ真假 ，bú yào不要bèi被jiǎ假lǐ yóu理由piàn骗le了 ，zhè yàng这样shì jiè世界cái才huì会gèng更hé píng和平 。
We need to learn to tell truth from lies and not be fooled by false excuses, so the world can be more peaceful.
