Many countries value independence very much, because independence allows people to decide their country's future for themselves.
In the past, many places were controlled by powerful countries, and people often suffered oppression and exploitation, and even lost their lives and freedom.
After World War II, more and more countries gained independence, which was a very important step forward.
However, national independence alone is not enough.
Today, the world faces many major problems, such as war, nuclear weapons, global warming, air pollution, the spread of disease, poverty, and population movement.
These problems do not affect only one country, and no single country can solve them on its own.
For example, war can leave many people homeless; environmental problems can bring extreme heat, floods, and fires; and diseases can spread quickly to other places.
Therefore, countries need to work together.
International organizations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organization are very important, but they still need more support and strength.
In the future, human beings must not only protect their own countries, but also learn to face common challenges together with other countries.
