The "Sister Hong" Incident: Gender Issues and Sex Education in China
zuì jìn 最近 ， zhōng guó 中国 yǒu 有 yí gè 一个 jiào 叫 “ hóng jiě 红姐 ” de 的 rén 人 yǐn qǐ 引起 le 了 hěn 很 duō 多 tǎo lùn 讨论 。
Recently, a person called "Sister Hong" in China has sparked a lot of discussion.
hóng jiě 红姐 yòng 用 jiǎ 假 shēn fèn 身份 zài 在 wǎng shàng 网上 rèn shí 认识 le 了 hěn 很 duō 多 nán shēng 男生 ， bìng 并 hé 和 tā men 他们 jiàn miàn 见面 。
Sister Hong used a fake identity to meet many boys online and met them in person.

She secretly recorded the meetings with these boys using a camera and then posted the videos online.

Later, Sister Hong was caught by the police.
hěn 很 duō 多 rén 人 jué de 觉得 zhè xiē 这些 nán shēng 男生 hěn 很 kě lián 可怜 ， dàn 但 yě 也 yǒu rén 有人 shuō 说 zhōng guó 中国 de 的 xìng 性 jiào yù 教育 zuò 做 dé 得 bù hǎo 不好 ， hěn 很 duō 多 rén 人 bù 不 zhī dào 知道 zěn me 怎么 bǎo hù 保护 zì jǐ 自己 。
Many people felt sorry for these boys, but some said that sex education in China is poor, and many people don't know how to protect themselves.

There are many boys in China who can't find girlfriends because there are more boys than girls.

Now, many young people feel lonely and find it hard to find a partner.
hóng jiě 红姐 de 的 gù shì 故事 ràng 让 dà jiā 大家 kāi shǐ 开始 tǎo lùn 讨论 xìng bié 性别 、 wǎng luò 网络 ān quán 安全 hé 和 xìng 性 jiào yù 教育 de 的 wèn tí 问题 。
Sister Hong's story made everyone start discussing issues of gender, online safety, and sex education.
