The 2026 Deep Tech Conference was held at Kwangwoon University in Seoul, South Korea, and more than 250 people from 18 countries took part.
The conference discussed important fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cybersecurity, biomedicine, defense, and energy.
The Indian ambassador to South Korea said that India and South Korea are not only trade partners, but also good friends in innovation.
South Korea is strong in manufacturing, semiconductors, and research, while India has many engineering talents and is developing software very quickly, so the two countries can do research together, innovate together, and also exchange talent.
Several experts also gave speeches at the conference, and everyone discussed future opportunities and challenges for cooperation.
One important result was that the two sides signed six cooperation agreements covering artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, battery storage, semiconductors, and smart cities.
In addition to academic activities, the conference also included cultural performances and a tour of Seoul’s cultural sites, helping everyone understand each other better.
Many people believe that this conference laid a very good foundation for future deep tech cooperation between South Korea and India.
