On September 22, the 48th WorldSkills Competition officially opened in Shanghai, China.

Held every two years, this competition is the world’s largest vocational skills competition. Many people call it the “Olympics of Skills.”

This competition has a very special rule: most contestants can take part only once in their lives, and contestants are usually no older than 22.

Therefore, the contestants at the competition are all young people.

This time, the Chinese team sent 71 young contestants. After strict selection, they finally stepped onto this world-class stage.

The competition includes a wide range of events, with 64 in total.

These include familiar traditional skills such as cooking, carpentry, and beauty care, as well as many modern new technologies, such as drones and intelligent security technology.

The competition standards are very high. Contestants must not only demonstrate precise skills, but also have good physical strength and the ability to respond to changes.

Even a very small error during the competition can affect the results.

In addition to the exciting competitions, an expo was held on site, allowing ordinary visitors to try various interesting skills themselves.
