China Helps Uzbekistan Save the Aral Sea
xián hǎi咸海céng曾shì是shì jiè世界shàng上dì第sì四dà hú大湖 ，dàn但xiàn zài现在dà bù fèn大部分yǐ jīng已经biàn chéng变成le了shā mò沙漠 。
The Aral Sea used to be the fourth largest lake in the world, but now most of it has turned into a desert.
yīn wèi因为guò qù过去rén men人们bǎ把liú rù流入xián hǎi咸海de的hé shuǐ河水yòng lái用来zhǒng种mián huā棉花 ，hú湖shuǐ水yuè lái yuè越来越shǎo少 ，hú lǐ湖里de的yán fèn盐分hé和wū rǎn污染yě也yuè lái yuè越来越duō多 。
In the past, people used the rivers flowing into the Aral Sea to grow cotton, so the lake water decreased, and the salt and pollution in the lake increased.
hěn很duō多rén人yīn cǐ因此shēng bìng生病 ，huán jìng环境biàn dé变得hěn很chà差 。
Many people got sick because of this, and the environment became very bad.
wū zī bié kè sī tǎn乌兹别克斯坦xiàn zài现在hé和zhōng guó中国yì qǐ一起nǔ lì努力bǎo hù保护xián hǎi咸海 。
Uzbekistan is now working together with China to protect the Aral Sea.
