"Overseas Chinese-language Writers" is a Label: The Story of Young Writer Xia Zhou
xià夏zhōu周shì是yī一wèi位zhōng guó中国zuò jiā作家 ，tā他zài在ào dà lì yà澳大利亚hé和měi guó美国xué xí学习hé和shēng huó生活 ，dàn但yì zhí一直yòng用zhōng wén中文xiě zuò写作 。
Xia Zhou is a Chinese writer who studied and lived in Australia and the United States but has always written in Chinese.

He likes the beauty of the Chinese language and feels that writing in his mother tongue is very natural.

Xia Zhou's works are mostly short stories, and he also writes some poetry.

Xia Zhou says that young people today have many ways to entertain themselves, like watching movies and playing games, so fewer people read books.

But he believes that good movies and games cannot do without literature.

Xia Zhou also says that many overseas Chinese-language writers, although living abroad, love the Chinese language and like to express their ideas in Chinese.
