Hong Kong LGBTQ+ Groups Raise Public Awareness During Event
5 yuè 月 17 rì 日 ， xiāng gǎng 香港 tóng luó wān 铜锣湾 yǒu 有 cǎi hóng qí 彩虹旗 ， rén men 人们 qìng zhù 庆祝 guó jì 国际 fǎn kǒng 反恐 tóng rì 同日 。
On May 17th, there were rainbow flags in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, as people celebrated the International Day Against Homophobia.
zhè gè 这个 huó dòng 活动 yǒu 有 duō gè 多个 LGBTQ+ tuán tǐ 团体 cān jiā 参加 ， tā men 他们 zài 在 jiē shàng 街上 fā 发 chuán dān 传单 ， hé 和 lù 路 rén 人 liáo tiān 聊天 。
Several LGBTQ+ groups participated in this event; they handed out flyers on the street and talked with passersby.
yǒu 有 de 的 tān wèi 摊位 ràng 让 dà jiā 大家 xiě xià 写下 miàn duì 面对 qí shì 歧视 shí 时 zěn me 怎么 zhào gù 照顾 zì jǐ 自己 ， bǐ rú 比如 “ tīng 听 yīn yuè 音乐 、 zuò fàn 做饭 、 jiàn 见 péng yǒu 朋友 ” 。
Some booths invited people to write down how they take care of themselves when facing discrimination, such as 'listening to music, cooking, meeting friends.'
hái yǒu 还有 rén 人 xiě xià 写下 “ kuà xìng bié zhě 跨性别者 de 的 quán lì 权利 shì 是 rén quán 人权 ” 。
Others wrote down 'Transgender rights are human rights.'
zhè xiē 这些 huó dòng 活动 ràng 让 gèng 更 duō 多 rén 人 liǎo jiě 了解 hé 和 zhī chí 支持 LGBTQ+ qún tǐ 群体 。
These activities help more people understand and support the LGBTQ+ community.
xiàn zài 现在 ， xiāng gǎng 香港 jǔ bàn 举办 zhè yàng 这样 de 的 huó dòng 活动 biàn dé 变得 bù 不 róng yì 容易 ， dàn 但 tuán tǐ 团体 men 们 hái shì 还是 nǔ lì 努力 ràng 让 dà jiā 大家 kàn dào 看到 tā men 他们 。
Nowadays, holding such events in Hong Kong has become difficult, but the groups still work hard to make themselves seen.
suī rán 虽然 xiāng gǎng 香港 hái 还 méi yǒu 没有 bǎo hù 保护 LGBTQ+ de 的 fǎ lǜ 法律 ， yě 也 bù 不 chéng rèn 承认 tóng xìng 同性 hūn yīn 婚姻 ， dàn 但 yǒu 有 diào chá 调查 xiǎn shì 显示 hěn 很 duō 多 xiāng gǎng 香港 rén 人 zhī chí 支持 tóng xìng 同性 hūn yīn 婚姻 。
Although Hong Kong does not yet have laws protecting LGBTQ+ people or recognize same-sex marriage, surveys show many Hong Kong residents support same-sex marriage.
cān jiā 参加 huó dòng 活动 de 的 rén 人 shuō 说 ， xī wàng 希望 dà jiā 大家 hù xiāng 互相 zūn zhòng 尊重 ， bú yào 不要 qí shì 歧视 bié rén 别人 。
Participants said they hope everyone respects each other and does not discriminate against others.
