On April 14, 2026, Vietnamese President Luong Cuong began a visit to China.
This visit is very important and aims to make the relationship between China and Vietnam even closer.
At the same time, 200 Vietnamese teenagers also came to China to take part in a special “red study tour.”
This activity was proposed by President Xi Jinping last year.
He hoped that young people from Vietnam would come to China and visit the places where the older generation of leaders from both countries once worked and struggled.
Through these activities, young people can truly feel the deep friendship between China and Vietnam, a friendship of “comrades and brothers.”
Over the past year, many Vietnamese students have visited places such as Guangzhou, Guangxi, and Chongqing.
They visited historical memorial halls and learned about the times when President Ho Chi Minh lived in China.
During the trip, Vietnamese and Chinese young people sang songs together, practiced calligraphy, and even made dumplings by hand.
One Vietnamese student said that although the study tour was short, the friendship he gained will stay with him for life.
In addition to looking back at history, the Vietnamese teenagers also visited places such as Xiong’an in Hebei.
They saw modern “smart cities” and examples of China’s success in lifting people out of poverty.
This combination of the “past” and the “future” showed them a vibrant China.
The foundation of China-Vietnam friendship lies in the people, and its future lies in the youth.
This “red study tour” not only taught young people historical knowledge, but also planted the seeds of friendship in their hearts.
It is hoped that the young people of both countries will take up the baton and carry forward China-Vietnam friendship from generation to generation.
