In Vietnam, social groups and activists often face difficulties in their work because they are sometimes monitored by the government.

Despite the risks, some organizations and individuals work hard to help people understand their rights, hoping to make their communities better.

Vietnam Rise is an organization founded by overseas Vietnamese Chinese; they support social activists in Vietnam by holding learning activities, training programs, and cooperating with other Southeast Asian organizations.

Vietnam Rise selects young people with ideas, teaches them how to become leaders, and provides some groups with funding and project support so they can carry out activities related to labor rights, education, and LGBT issues.

This organization also leads people to learn from experiences in other Southeast Asian countries.

Although there are many challenges, such as misunderstandings about them or difficulties in spreading information, Vietnam Rise believes that as long as everyone works together and shares experiences, society can improve.

They also hold social movement festivals to allow more young people and groups to communicate and learn together.
