Modernization and Cultural Issues in Pakistan
bā jī sī tǎn巴基斯坦xiàn zài现在hěn很zhòng shì重视xiàn dài huà现代化 ，bǐ rú比如jiàn建gāo lóu高楼 、xiū修gāo sù gōng lù高速公路hé和kāi开dà大shāng chǎng商场 。
Pakistan now places great importance on modernization, such as building tall buildings, constructing highways, and opening large shopping malls.
hěn很duō多rén人jué de觉得zhè xiē这些shì是jìn bù进步de的biāo zhì标志 ，dàn但qí shí其实nóng cūn农村hé和xiǎo小chéng shì城市de的rén men人们bìng并méi yǒu没有dé dào得到hǎo chù好处 。
Many people see these as signs of progress, but in fact, people in rural areas and small towns have not benefited.
nóng mín农民biàn dé变得gèng更qióng穷 ，chuán tǒng传统de的cān guǎn餐馆bèi被kuài cān diàn快餐店qǔ dài取代 ，nián qīng rén年轻人yě也kāi shǐ开始chī吃bù不jiàn kāng健康de的shí wù食物 。
Farmers have become poorer, traditional restaurants have been replaced by fast food outlets, and young people have started eating unhealthy food.
hěn很duō多xué xiào学校hé和dà xué大学xǐ huān喜欢yòng用yīng yǔ英语hé和wài lái外来de的jiào yù教育fāng shì方式 ，jié guǒ结果hěn很duō多nián qīng rén年轻人bú huì不会shuō说zì jǐ自己de的mǔ yǔ母语páng zhē pǔ yǔ旁遮普语le了 。
Many schools and universities prefer to use English and foreign educational methods, resulting in many young people not being able to speak their native Punjabi language.

They speak Urdu and English at home, making communication with family difficult.
