The United States and Taiwan recently signed an important trade agreement.

This agreement reduces tariffs on most goods Taiwan exports to the United States from 20% to 15%, and for some important products, such as medicines and airplane parts, the tariffs are even reduced to zero.

For products like automobile parts and timber that Taiwan exports to the United States, the highest tariff will not exceed 15%.

The United States will also lower import tariffs on Taiwanese chips and related equipment.

In return, Taiwanese companies will invest a lot of money in the United States to help develop the semiconductor, energy, and artificial intelligence industries.

Taiwan will also provide credit guarantees to help the United States build its own semiconductor supply chain.

The United States hopes that through this agreement, more chips will be produced in the United States, creating more job opportunities.

The President of Taiwan also said that this agreement will strengthen the economic relationship between Taiwan and the United States and help both countries develop high-tech industries together.
