Studying Feminism in Myanmar: The Story of Verse
Verseshì是miǎn diān缅甸de的yī一wèi位diàn yǐng zhì zuò电影制作rén人 。
Verse is a filmmaker from Myanmar.
tā她xiǎo shí hòu小时候 ，nǎi nǎi奶奶jīng cháng经常zuò做yī xiē一些bié rén别人jué de觉得nǚ rén女人bù不yīng gāi应该zuò做de的shì qíng事情 ，bǐ rú比如zài在nán rén男人zhōng中gōng zuò工作 ，hái还zì jǐ自己kāi开jù mù chǎng锯木厂 。
When she was a child, her grandmother often did things that others thought women shouldn't do, like working among men and running her own sawmill.
nǎi nǎi奶奶gào sù告诉 Verse ，xìng bié性别bù不yīng gāi应该chéng wéi成为xiàn zhì限制 。
Her grandmother told Verse that gender should not be a limitation.
Versezhǎng dà长大hòu后 ，chéng wéi成为le了yī一míng名jì zhě记者 ，dàn但yīn wèi因为shì是nǚ xìng女性 ，tā她méi yǒu没有jī huì机会qù去bào dào报道zhòng yào重要de的xīn wén新闻 。
When Verse grew up, she became a journalist, but because she was a woman, she did not have the chance to report important news.
hòu lái后来 ，tā她jiā rù加入le了yí gè一个guān zhù关注nǚ xìng女性quán lì权利de的zǔ zhī组织 。
Later, she joined an organization focused on women's rights.
Versehái还qù去xué xí学习le了diàn yǐng电影 ，yòng用diàn yǐng电影jiǎng shù讲述nǚ xìng女性de的gù shì故事 。
Verse also studied filmmaking to tell women's stories through film.
tā她pāi拍guò过guān yú关于xìng gōng zuò zhě性工作者de的dòng huà piàn动画片 ，yě也pāi拍guò过jiǎng shù讲述nǚ xìng女性fǎn kàng反抗bù不gōng píng公平de的jì lù piàn纪录片 。
She has made animated films about sex workers and documentaries about women resisting injustice.
Versejué de觉得 ，nǚ xìng女性yīng gāi应该yǒu有píng děng平等hé和zì yóu自由 。
Verse believes that women should have equality and freedom.
tā她xī wàng希望tōng guò通过zì jǐ自己de的diàn yǐng电影 ，ràng让gèng更duō多rén人kàn dào看到nǚ xìng女性de的lì liàng力量hé和gù shì故事 。
She hopes to use her films to let more people see the power and stories of women.
Verseshuō说 ，tā她de的nǎi nǎi奶奶jiào huì教会le了tā她yǒng gǎn勇敢hé和zì xìn自信 ，tā她yě也xiǎng想bǎ把zhè xiē这些jīng shén精神dài gěi带给gèng更duō多rén人 。
Verse says her grandmother taught her to be brave and confident, and she wants to bring this spirit to more people.
