During the Christmas season, a U.S. committee focused on human rights in China called on the Chinese government to release all Christians detained because of their faith.
The committee said that although the Chinese government claims to have religious freedom, in reality, many Christians face suppression during Christmas.
The committee hopes the Chinese government will respect everyone's freedom of belief and allow all those detained for their faith to return home and celebrate the holiday with their families.
